Tehran, Aug 24, IRNA - Head of Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on Sunday criticized impeachment of minister of science, research and technology.
He made the remarks in a meeting with the Ministry of Education officials.
If hardliners do not prevent country?s progress, we can establish the modern Islamic civilization in the near future, he added.

Rafsanjani also blamed the hardliners for the country?s problems in relations with the world.

The influential extremist political groups have intensified pressure on President Hassan Rouhani?s administration. Under their pressure, The Parliament dismissed Rohani?s minister of Science Reza Faraji-Dana last Wednesday.

Out of the 270 lawmakers present in Wednesday parliament session, 145 legislators voted against Faraji Dana, while 110 voted in his favor, with 15 abstentions.
