Tehran, Aug 5. IRNA - Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hussein Amir Abdollahian conferred on Tuesday with South African Deputy Foreign Minister Nomaindia Mfeketo on current humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Ministerial Committee on Palestine.
In the meeting, the two sides condemned the crimes of the Zionists in Gaza and underlined the need for more coordination among NAM members in dealing with the issue.

Lauding the remarkable measures taken by the late South African leader Nelson Mandela and his campaign against Apartheid, the Iranian official praised the country?s stance in condemning the racist polices of Zionists against Palestinian people.

Amir Abdollahian proposed formation of working groups from independent states to provide relief supplies to people in Gaza which was welcomed by the South African deputy foreign minister.

The South African deputy foreign minister, for her part, called for expansion of relations and cooperation between her country and Iran and underlined the need to continue talks on ways of dispatching aids to Palestinian people.

Representatives from 45 countries took part in the one-day meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Ministerial Committee on Palestine on Monday.
