Germany, Qatar ready to invest in PSEEZ

Tehran, Aug 5, IRNA - German and Qatari investors visited Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) and expressed readiness to invest in its development projects.
Mehdi Yousefi, PSEEZ managing director, also said a delegation from Izmir Chamber of Commerce, Turkey, was briefed on the zone?s investment opportunities.
He added that the Iranian government has accelerated the visa issuance process for foreign businessmen and investors.

Located 300 kilometers southeast of Bushehr province on the shore of Persian Gulf, PSEEZ is known as the Middle Easts energy hub. The zones proximity to the South Pars Gas Field has made it feasible for the development of different industries.

To facilitate the participation of foreign investors in the zones development projects, PSEEZ has offered new investment packages pertaining to the fields of tourism, hotel and greenhouse construction, and energy and renewable energies.

Managing Director of Iran International Exhibitions Company Hossein Esfahbodi and Manager of Messe Mnchen International Eugen Egetenmeir discussed ways of expanding cooperation in holding expos in a meeting in Tehran.

Speaking in the meeting, Egetenmeir listed his companys future plans for participating in Irans exhibitions.

He hoped that Iran will be able to hold ConMin biennial expo (International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Mining, Building Materials and Natural Stone Industry) every year and host other exhibitions pertaining to industries, such as auto production.

Esfahbodi said Iran and Germany have a longstanding history of cooperation.

?In view of Irans recent progresses in nuclear talks with P5+1 (the five permanent members of the United Nations plus Germany), the country is expected to be able to expand cooperation with Germany in hosting expos in the near future,? he said.
