TEHRAN July 8 (Shana)--Fajr Jam gas refinery is expected to double its processing capacity in as many years, a senior gas official said.
Fajr Jam Refinery is currently receiving 25 mcm/d of gas from Assaluyeh. This volume is planned to reach 50 mcm/d, Hassan Montazer Torbati, director of consolidated planning at National Iranian Gas Company, said.
Irans gas refineries are using 80 to 85 percent of their treatment capacity. They mainly get sour gas from South Pars gas field in southern Iran. Iran has increased gas production from its upstream sector in recent years.
