Tehran, July 7, IRNA � Iran?s national basketball team departs for China on Monday late evening to attend Asia Cup Tournament and defend its championship title.
International referee Amir Hossein Safarzadeh also accompanies the team at the invitation of FIBA Referee Committee to judge the competitions.
The 5th FIBA Asia Cup Competition starts on July 11 and ends on July 19, 2014 in Wuhan, China.

Iran, which is in Group A, plays with Japan on Friday afternoon.

In the last FIBA Asia Cup in Japan, Iran?s national basketball team beat Japan and became the champion of the tournament.
