TEHRAN June 30 (Shana)--Manager of the Fifth Gas Transfer District Saeed Tavakoli said the district is carrying gas to other parts of the country on a safe and sustainable manner despite ongoing overhaul in some of its facilities.
Tavakoli said even though a gas compressor is out of service for overhauling, 17 other gas compressors are fully operational in order to continue sustainable delivery of gas to other parts of the country.
The Fifth Gas Transfer District as the furthest southern gas district of the country starts from the shores of Persian Gulf in Bushehr province and its gas pipelines pass from Fars province and parts of Kohkilouyeh va Boyer Ahmad province before they join the Second Gas Transfer District in Esfahan province. Covering 4500 kilometers of gas pipelines with different diameters, the Fifth District, is an important and strategic gas network because it is responsible for transferring of 70 percent of gas for use in the country.
