TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran and Afghanistan signed a deal in order to expand mutual cooperation on railway and train Afghans on railroad industry.
"We are completely ready to help Afghanistan on railroad by means of all of our potentials," said Managing Director of Iran's Railway Organization Pourseyyed Aghaei in the closing ceremony of a training plan for Afghan experts in Iran.
He also expressed the hope that Afghan railroad project will be accomplished soon.
"Afghanistan has started a very sensitive and historic phase as it entered the railroad transportation. We hope that the industry will grow in our neighboring state through mutual cooperation between the two countries (Iran and Afghanistan)," he said.
Based on the deal signed between Aghaei and his Afghan counterpart Iranian experts would visit Afghanistan to train people in the country and some Afghan students would pass technical courses in Iran.
