Acclaimed Iranian film Im Not Angry directed by Reza Dormishian has swept several awards at the 17th edition of Shanghai International Film Festival.
Dormishians social drama nabbed the Asian New Talent Award for Best Film andthe Best Director Award was also dedicated to the films director.
Dormishianshared the Vincent Ward Prize with the Indian director Indranil Roychowdhury for his film Dragon Fly. The prize is sponsored by the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

Im Not Angry narrates the story of a university student, Navid, whose studies are disrupted due to his activities and beliefs.

Born in 1981, Dormishian started his career in cinema by writing as a film critic for several newspapers in 1997, and later as executive editor for cinema books and magazines.
His debut feature-length film Hatred was screened in many international festivals and received critical acclaim and awards.
Hatred that was hailed by critics and audiences in the 30th edition of Iran's Fajr Film Festival was screened at the 2012 Montreal World Film Festival in Canada, the 28th Warsaw Film Festival in Poland and the fifth edition of Jaipur International Film Festival in India.
Internationally-renowned Iranian actor and filmmaker Peyman Moadi served at the jury panel of the 2014 Shanghai International Film Festival.
Some 900 films in different categories were presented in 35 theaters at this years Shanghai film festival.
