Vienna, June 18, IRNA � President of UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS) Ezzeddin Sediq on Wednesday hailed Iran?s progress in space science.

He made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting deputy head of the Iranian Space Agency (ISA) Hamid Fazeli on the sidelines of 47th session of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space held from June 11-20, 2014 at the United Nations Office in Vienna.

The UNCOPUOS president noted that Iran had made good progress in areas of manufacture and launching of space satellites.

Fazeli held also a meeting with Omar Faruq, president of the Algeria Space Agency and discussed ways of expanding mutual relations.

Faruq accepted Fazeli?s invitation to visit Tehran.
