Kerman - Loot Desert, the world's 25th largest desert, is inscribed to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list on July 17, 2016 at the 40th World Heritage Conference of UNESCO. Loot Desert is the world's driest and hottest places and the surface of the sand has been measured at temperatures as high as 70 C (159 F) there.
