Iran paying price for economic independence: Analyst

The United States has extended its sanctions against Iran because of the Islamic Republics economic independence, an analyst tells Press TV in an interview.
A lot of the politicians in the United States will continue to try to put all kinds of sanctions in placeagainst countries like Iranbecause Iran operates in an independent economic environment outside of the banking community that the pro-Israel Zionist lobby controls, Scott Rickard said in a Monday interview.
He added that the US government is heavily influenced by the pro-Israel lobby, adding that Senators like John McCain and other puppets of the pro-Israel Zionist movement in the United States are making more threats.
These guys are stooges for the pro-Israel movement and theyre basically mouthpieces for the pro-Israel lobby, Rickard said.

On Thursday, the US Department of Treasury announced new sanctions against a number of companies and individuals over providing support for Irans nuclear energy program.

The new US sanctions came despite the interim nuclear agreement inked between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - Russia, China, France, Britain and the US - plus Germany in the Swiss city of Geneva on November 24.

The interim deal sought to set the stage for the full resolution of the Wests decade-old dispute with Iran over the countrys nuclear energy program.

Rickard said the recent US stance on Iran is about benefiting the individuals that are fighting other countries for their resources and also fighting other countries for geopolitical influence to control those resources.
