Leader's letter urges ‘Mutual Understating’ between Islam, West: US author

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An American author and researcher believes Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei’s second open letter to the youth in the western countries urges “mutual understating” between Islam and the West.

“I suppose (Ayatollah) Khamenei wrote the recent letter in response to the events in Paris to appeal to as many empathic people as possible and call for mutual understanding between Islam and the West instead of falling victim to fear and mind manipulation by the Western media,” Walt Peretto from Washington told the Tasnim News Agency on Tuesday.

Walt Peretto is an American writer, researcher, analyst, and sociopolitical psychologist. He is a regular contributor to Press TV and he writes for several online news magazines. He is also working on a book that will introduce the groundwork for sociopolitical psychology which is the study of the behaviors behind social systems and their interactions.

The full text of the interview is as follows:

Q: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has penned a new letter to the young people of the West. What’s your take on the second letter?

A: The fact that Ayatollah Khamenei wrote this recent letter directly to the youth of the West makes sense in that it is wise to appeal to people who will eventually become the elders in the West, some of whom may assume positions of influence and power one day. But I think this letter could easily have been addressed to Western people of all ages and to the entire empathic world. Truth is important for all moral people to embrace. In reaction to the recent events in Paris and other news events depicting terrorism, Supreme Leader (Ayatollah Seyyed Ali) Khamenei is quoted as saying, "Anyone who has benefited from affection and humanity is affected and disturbed by witnessing these scenes." This statement clearly says to me that he is appealing to everyone in the West who has the ability to feel empathy and love. The fact is that some people do not have the ability to feel empathy, guilt, remorse, or develop morals. These people are known as psychopaths, and my field of sociopolitical psychology is in the process of studying psychopathy and we now realize this to be the primary mental disorder at the heart of the behaviors that lead to terrorism and organized aggression. I believe that (Ayatollah) Khamenei senses that it may be futile to try to reason with the psychopaths in charge of Western foreign policy and instead is trying to reach the masses of people who have the ability to feel what it is like to be truly human on an emotional and spiritual level.

Q: The Leader penned his first letter to the youth in the West after unknown gunmen attacked offices of French magazine, Charlie Hebdo, and killed scores after it published sacrilegious cartoon of Islam's Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in its January 14 edition. The Leader’s second letter also came in light of the recent terrorist attacks in Paris. Why did the leader choose to directly address the Western youth once again in form of a letter after another terrorist attack?

A: (Ayatollah) Khamenei addressed a similar letter to the youth of the West after the Hebdo incident trying to appeal to people to find solutions and mutual consultation between Islam and the West which is both noble and quite difficult. After a sensational news incident hits the airwaves, many people who are accustomed to Western news feeds for their information have developed a worldview that is conducive to how Western organized psychopathy wants them to think. So when these stories break the powers that be are fully aware that millions of people are going to be instantly angered and fearful of whoever is blamed for these violent acts against innocents. Many of these people have very little understanding of how the world actually operates but they do have the ability to feel empathy as opposed to many of the influential people in the West who are responsible for these acts. (Ayatollah) Khamenei is trying to appeal to anyone who can feel empathy instead of wasting time with people who can't. I suppose (Ayatollah) Khamenei wrote the recent letter in response to the events in Paris to appeal to as many empathic people as possible and call for mutual understanding between Islam and the West instead of falling victim to fear and mind manipulation by the Western media.

Q: In his letter, the leader has stressed that “blind terrorism” was the main cause behind the Paris attacks. Why “blind terrorism”?

A: The Supreme Leader has described the recent events in Paris as "blind terrorism." While I don't personally know exactly what happened on that day in Paris -- I do sense Western fingerprints all over these events based on the fact that ISIS (Daesh) has claimed responsibility. ISIS is a creation of the West and are proxies to Western foreign policy, so it's logical to assume that the West may be the perpetrators in Paris. The reasons why ISIS exists is to terrorize the people of Syria and Iraq. The Western goal in Iraq is to keep a destroyed nation in chaos so that Western multinationals can loot their resources and portray them as incapable of governing themselves without a Western presence. In Syria, the Western goal is regime change from Assad to a Western puppet so that Iran loses one of their main military allies. The West is essentially run by the people who print the US petrodollar and most of the world's other currencies. Iran is relatively independent of this monetary manipulation and the West has its scope on Iran to someday take control of its currency and natural resources, but for now the game is destabilization in Syria. These events like those in Paris also help feed anti-Islamic mindsets and perpetuate a divide and conquer technique of control. Yet the endgame is likely implementation of the Western agenda of a one world currency, one world government, and one world religion led by a small group of organized psychopaths who are genetically incapable of feeling empathy and love. These globalists are quite open about these dystopic goals if you read some of their autobiographies and quotes. This is the state of the world we live in and the direction we are headed.

(Ayatollah) Khamenei is correct to appeal to the empathic people of the world because it is empathy who will ultimately expose organized psychopathy and reign in a better world led by empathic humanity instead of psychopaths.
