Iran is trying to convince Iraq to lodge a complaint at international organizations over the abuse of the Arab country’s airspace after the American provision of an aerial route for Israeli warplanes to carry out the recent strike on Iran, the Iranian foreign minister said.

The Iranian Armed Forces announced on Saturday that Israel has used US-controlled Iraqi airspace for conducting its attack on Iran, adding that the country’s air defense units were able to prevent Israeli warplanes from entering Iran’s airspace.

Iraq’s Islamic Resistance, which is an umbrella group of resistance movements, has warned against using the Arab country’s airspace to carry out attacks on neighboring Iran.
