High fuel consumption and low-quality domestic cars are some of the most main factors in increasing gasoline consumption in Iran. In addition to increasing the consumption of gasoline, these cars play a significant role in creating pollution.

Iranian automakers produced about 1.107 million vehicles in the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2023-January 20, 2024), an official with the Industry, Mining and Trade Ministry said.
