Mohammad Javad Zarif, the former Foreign Minister of Iran, has officially dismissed rumors of his candidacy in the upcoming presidential election.

According to The Iran Project, the interim Iranian foreign minister Ali Bagheri Kani held talks with visiting Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the foreign minister of the Sultanate of Oman in Tehran on Monday.

Oman considers its relations with Iran to be strategic and is willing to promote and diversify the bilateral cooperation, the foreign minister of the sultanate said.

Referring to the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman, Iran's Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani stated that the policy of strengthening and deepening relations with neighbors will continue.
