Iran has produced a documentary on the countrys historical city of Isfahan and its sister cities, passing final stage in Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.Directed by Morteza Atash Zamzam, the documentary was programmed to be made in TV series during three episodes.
Three episodes of the series, which have already been filmed in the cities of Lahore, Florence and Freiburg, are in the postproduction stage.
The films team is now in Malaysia to shoot the last scenes of an episode displaying Isfahans inspired architecture in Kuala Lumpur.
However, the art works originally belonged to Kuala Lumpur cannot be found in Isfahan, Malaysian city is hosting various artworks of Isfahan, said Atash Zamzam.
The most striking works of Isfahan are seen at the entrance door of the Islamic Arts Museum of Malaysia, he also noted.
Isfahan is located on the main north-south and east-west routes crossing Iran, and was once one of the largest cities in the world.
Renowned for its Islamic architecture, the city flourished from 1050 to 1722, particularly in the 16th century under the Safavid dynasty, when it was named the capital of Persia for the second time in its history.
Isfahan was named sister for Yerevan in Armenia, Xian in China Kyoto in Japan, Saint Petersburg in Russia, Florence in Italy, Freiburg in Germany, Havana in Cuba and several other cities in the world.
