The Iran Project : The Director General of the Technology and Innovation Office of the Ministry of Industry announced the allocation of 720 billion tomans of credit for technological products.
According to The Iran Project, Ali Babaei made the announcement at the third national event dubbed “Knowledge-based industry with the focus on small industries and technology ecosystem”.
Technology and knowledge-based work in Iran is difficult due to problems related to competition and incentives in many industries, he said.
Noting that almost technological products in Iran did not have a centralized policy, he stated, “he policy package in technological products will be announced soon by the Ministry of Industry, which will help the quality and competitiveness of strategic products and other matters.”
As per the minister's order, we received a list from the scientific deputy and presented it to the specialized offices, and in this area, we worked very hard to ensure that the quality of the products is competitive, the production is sufficient, and the product is strategic, he added.
The official stressed that from the list of 1000 provided by the Scientific deputy, 161 products have been finalized and these products are strategic and technological.
The most important issues for knowledge-based companies are currency, tariff, and import issues, and we hope that this list will be implemented within the next week.
