Liberation of al-Quds ‘most important issue’ in Muslim world: Iran

The Iran Project - Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi condemned the normalization agreements between certain Arab countries and Israel, stating that the liberation of Jerusalem is the most important issue in the Muslim world.

The Iranian President made the remark during the opening ceremony of the 37th International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran.

Raisi emphasized the need for unity among Muslims to protect the interests of the Islamic Ummah, stating that unity with adherence to the Quran and Prophet Muhammad has been the key to victory throughout history.

He criticized attempts to normalize relations with Israel as a regressive step and stressed the importance of resistance and resilience against the enemy.

Raisi praised the conference as an anti-Zionism and anti-hegemony event, highlighting its role in fortifying the Islamic Ummah against hybrid warfare.

He called for further consolidation of unity in the face of threats from Takfiri terror groups and urged Muslim scholars and thinkers to play a significant role in promoting cohesion, unity, and interfaith proximity.

Raisi stated that Muslims must establish themselves in the new world order and disrupt the current unjust order to create a just world.

He also highlighted sacrilegious acts, crimes by terrorist groups, normalization deals with Israel, and enemy-led media campaigns as attempts to discourage the Islamic Ummah, but expressed confidence in the resilience of Muslims.

The 37th International Islamic Unity Conference is being held in Tehran during Islamic Unity Week, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad.
