Tehran ready to enhance ties with Kuwait in various fields: Iran
Foreign Minister of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Salem Al Sabah held a meeting during which the Iranian minister called for expanding relations with Kuwait in various fields.

In the meeting, various issues in the relations between the two countries in the political, economic, commercial, parliamentary, consular, environmental, and some regional issues were discussed and exchanged views on.

"We are ready to develop bilateral relations in various fields and in this regard, we are ready to hold a joint high commission between the two countries," Amir-Abdollahian said.

The two ministers agreed on setting priorities for cooperation and activating the specialized committees of the two countries."

Sheikh Salem Al Sabah further thanked and welcomed the invitation extended to him by his Iranian counterpart to visit Iran and expressed his interest in paying the visit.

On Wednesday, the Iranian foreign minister had also held talks with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Ahmad Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah in Kuwait City.

In the meeting, Amir-Abdollahian said the administration of Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi considered the expansion of the Islamic Republic's relations with its neighbors to be an essential priority.

Iran would seriously address the priority since it believes that the country's neighbors, especially the Persian Gulf's littoral states, enjoy numerous instances of commonality and capacities for cooperation with the country, he added.
