IRNA � A member of parliament on Sunday criticized US for pullout from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in blatant breach of the international law, saying it was the best symbol for showing the power of negotiations among the states.

Hossein Naqavi-Hosseini, a member of Majlis national security and foreign policy commission made the remarks in reference to the JCPOA endorsed by the UN Security Council Resolution 2231.

The US is threatening Iran by sending its warships to Iranian territorial waters, and at the same time, some American officials are speaking of negotiations with Tehran, giving a phone number waiting for call from Iran, Naqavi-Hosseini told IRNA.

'The US is dishonest and it cannot be trusted as they have repeatedly shown that they are not sincere,' he added.

'Being fully aware of Iran's capabilities and the country's response, Washington does not have the courage to make any military move against Iran,' the lawmaker said adding that the US is not trustworthy with regard to negotiations, as the US has been tested several times.

Commenting on the European signatories, the Iranian lawmaker said that they do not have any specific plan to fulfill their promises, emphasizing that 'after the 60-day deadline, in case their commitments are not met yet, Iran will certainly take the next step more strongly.'

According to the nuclear deal that was the result of numerous marathon talks, Iran agreed to curb its nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief. The US unilaterally pulled out of the deal in May 2018, re-imposing the sanctions on Iran.

The European members of the deal emphasized to cover Iran's loss caused by new sanctions through devising a mechanism for doing business with Tehran.

The European signatories, however, have yet to deliver their pledge.

On the first anniversary of the US withdrawal, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani said that Tehran suspended a part of its commitments to the deal and the trend will continue if the country's interests under the deal are not guaranteed.
