Fars Province exports sees double-digit rise in 11 months

IRNA - Exports from southern Iranian Fars Province rose by 35% in value to hit nearly $250,000 over the past 11 months, local officials say.

The exported items were valued at 248.458125 million dollars since the start of the current Persian fiscal year (March 2018-February 2019), said Khodadad Rahimi, head of customs administration in the southern province.

Exports from various customs in the Fars Province also showed a 49% rise in weight over the past 11 months to reach 307.256 million tons, the official said.

Iraq, Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Germany, Qatar, Kuwait, India, Pakistan, Turkey and Oman have been the main destination of Iranian exports from the southern region.

He noted that dairy products, tomato paste, urea, dates and cement were most favored products.
