Foreign companies should take firm decision on cooperation with Iran: VP

IRNA Foreign companies should take a firm decision about cooperation with Iran and consider their long-term interests before adopting any decision, Iranian vice president said.

Big foreign companies as Iran's economic partners should show their commitment to continue cooperation with Iran decisively, Iranian Vice-President for Economic Affairs Mohammad Nahavandian told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

According to the economic blog, the foreign companies should not cut their relations with the Iranian economy in long term, he added.

Iran's decisions regarding long-term cooperation with foreign companies are quite dependent on the amount of their cooperation and engagement, the vice president added.

The US President Donald Trump announced on May 8 that Washington would pull out of Iran nuclear deal and re-impose nuclear sanctions on Iran.

This is while most world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union have repeatedly stressed that keeping the deal is in the interest of the world peace and security.
