IRNA Iran values Afghanistan's security and stability and has used all the means to help the country throughout past years, a senior military official said on Wednesday.
Armed Forces Deputy Chief of Staff (AFGS) for International Affairs Brigadier General Qadir Nezami in a meeting with Afghanistan deputy minister of defense for policy and strategy Tamim Asey said, 'An example of the joint cooperation is hosting more than 3 million Afghan refugees during past four decades.'
The Afghan official is visiting Tehran at the head of a high-ranking military delegation.
The general also expressed Iran's armed forces' readiness for opening a new era of cooperation in various military fields with Afghanistan's army.
He also warned against the plot of transferring some elements of Daesh (terrorist group of ISIS) to Afghanistan, following the defeat of terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria can create a new crisis for Afghan community.
The afghan official said that his country understands Iran's concerns about terrorist Takfiri group of Daesh (the ISIS) and other foreign forces in Afghanistan, and Kabul will never allow the groups to act against Iran's national security from Afghanistan, as it is a redline of Afghan leaders.
