FNA- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani underlined that the US House of Representatives' amendment to block Tehran's purchase of passenger planes is a material breach of the 2015 nuclear deal.

"The US House of Representatives' recent measure to ban sales of passenger planes, although insignificant, is a flagrant violation of the nuclear deal," Larijani said on Monday.

He also expressed surprise Americans claim that Iran has not remained committed to the spirit of the nuclear deal while they themselves have carried out a material and fundamental violation.

In relevant remarks on Sunday, Larijani warned the US that revoking the 2015 nuclear deal will harm Washington in the first place as Iran enjoys the ability to revive its previous nuclear capabilities fast.

Addressing a meeting in West Azarbaijan province, Larijani lambasted the US House of Representatives for standing against the deal and violating it repeatedly and asked the US House to stop empty words about the spirit of the agreement.

"They should know that if the nuclear deal is abrogated, they will be harmed," Larijani said.

"If the nuclear deal is discarded, Iran will be able to return to its previous status and grow even more powerful than the past before the time planned," he added.

His comments came after the US House of Representatives voted in favor of new measures that block sales of commercial aircraft to Iran, ignoring some lawmakers� warnings that the hostile move would undermine the 2015 nuclear agreement between the Islamic Republic and the six world powers.
