Sputnik News- United Arab Emirates' (UAE) Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash said on Monday that international monitoring is needed to resolve the diplomatic row between Qatar and a number of Persian Gulf states.





International monitoring is needed to�resolve the diplomatic crisis between�the�Persian Gulf states and Qatar, which emerged a month ago over�Doha's alleged support for�terrorism, Gargash said in�prepared remarks to�be delivered later on�Monday.
"We need a regional solution and international monitoring�. We need to�be certain that Qatar, a state with $300 billion in�reserves, is no longer an official or unofficial sponsor of�terrorist causes," Gargash is expected to�say in�his speech in�London, as�quoted by�the Middle East's newspaper The National.


Gargash welcomed the US-Qatari memorandum to�disrupt financing of�terrorist organizations, signed last week, and described it as�a positive sign.


In June, Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE severed diplomatic ties with�Qatar over�its alleged terror funding. The�Persian Gulf states put forth 13 demands to�Qatar, including lessening the level of�relations with�Iran, the halt of�terror funding, and non-interference in�the internal affairs of�the Arab countries. Qatar rejected the demands regarding them as�neither acceptable nor based on�evidence.
