Iran MPs to question minister over import of Saudi goods



IFP - An Iranian MP says the countrys Minister of Industry will be summoned to answer lawmakers questions on alleged import of goods from Saudi Arabia.





In a Farsi interview with the Tasnim News Agency, Iranian lawmaker Mohammad Javad Jamali said that Irans Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Mohammad-Reza Nematzadeh will be called to account forimporting Saudi goods.

The questions are about the type of commodities and their volume, the Iranian lawmaker added.

Considering [our] relations with Saudi Arabia and the stance taken by the Saudi authorities against the Islamic Republic, we have asked the minister to explain how the Saudi goods have been imported to Iran, he further mentioned.

Jamali also said that the questions will be presented to the Iranian Parliaments Presiding Board and after being checked, they will be handed down to the Parliaments Industries and Mines Commission.
