IRNA - President Hassan Rouhani ended his visit to Mashad after paying a pilgrimage visit to the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (AS) late Thursday and left this provincial capital city for Tehran.

President Rouhani arrived in the holy city of Mashad to mark the martyrdom anniversary of the 8th Shia Imam, Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (AS).

The President paid unofficial visit to Mashad to attend the mourning procession for the martyrdom of the eighth Shiia Imam (AS) at his Mausoleum in the northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi.

While in the holy city of Mashad, President Rouhani attended the opening ceremonies of some industrial and development projects and met with the provincial officials.
