Iran reopened border crossings with Turkey following the suppression of the coup attempt there, a local law enforcement source told Sputnik Saturday.
TEHRAN (Sputnik) He added that trucks are already crossing the border and traffic is resumed asnormal.
"Land crossings onthe border withTurkey are reopened afterthey were closed yesterday forthe night," the source said.
The coup attempt was suppressed byearly Saturday, withTurkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim stating that all coup supporters were identified and would be apprehended asthe country was returning tonormal life. Over 180 people were killed and 1,470 were injured duringthe events, while nearly 3,000 people have already been detained, according tothe prime minister.
