Zarif in north of country for Iran-Azerbaijan-Turkey meeting

Noor, Mazandaran, April 5, IRNA Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived here Tuesday in north of the country to attend the fourth ministerial meeting between Tehran, Baku and Ankara.


Upon arrival in Ramsar in Mazandaran province, Zarif was welcomed by local officials.

Azeri and Turkish foreign ministers are due to be in Ramsar today for the Tehran-Baku-Ankara ministerial meeting.

The trilateral meeting plans to review joint issues between the three courtiers.

The meeting is considered as an important step towards trilateral cooperation in fight against international terrorism as well as development of transportation and trade exchange.

Foreign ministers of the three countries held their first trilateral meeting in Orumiyeh, Iran, in 2011. They held their second and third meetings in 2012 and 2014 in Nakhchivan and Van in Azerbaijan and Turkey respectively.
