Tehran, May 4, IRNA � Deputy of the 28th Tehran International Book Fair pointed to the presentation of works of over 2,800 foreign publishers to this year's exhibition and said 65 countries will be present in this cultural event.




Amir Masoud Shahramnia further remarked that about 130 stands will be active in the international book exhibition this year which will represent a large number of publishers. Over 2,450 Iranian publishers are also participating in the fair.

Meanwhile, he added, over 170 thousand record books have been registered in the international section of the exhibition which will possibly increase by 30%.

He said approximately half of the publishers will be active in the field of selling books while about half of foreign publishers will put their works on display.

The 28th Tehran International Book Fair with the motto �Reading, Conversing with the World� will be held on May 6-16 at Imam Khomeini (RA) Prayer Ground in Tehran.

Millions of people visit the fair each year, including thousands of university students, scholars and their families. The fair is currently the most significant cultural event in Iran.
