Tehran, Jan 21, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday voiced Tehrans readiness to deal with the British Embassy like other diplomatic missions in the Iranian capital and expects London to act likewise.Zarif made the remarks while speaking to reporters upon arrival to Tehran from Kabul where he met with Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and submitted the invitation of President Hassan Rouhani for his Afghan counterpart to pay a visit to Iran.
The official invitation was accepted by the Afghan president.
We have decided to restore bilateral ties but reopening of the embassies requires some agreements as well as administrative and technical preparations besides political issues, Zarif replied to a question.
To a query on recent statements by Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov about reaching a political understanding about nuclear dispute by the end of March, Zarif said, These are just speculations and speculations will not help anyone.
Ryabkov said on Monday that Iran and the 5+1 group (Russia, China, the United States, Britain, France, and Germany) still have the political will to settle the nuclear issue within the timeframe agreed upon last November.
To cut a final deal the parties are seeking to agree on a political understanding by the end of March and working out all details until July 1, Ryabkov had said.
At the end of their talks in Vienna, Austria, on November 24, which was set as the deadline, the nuclear negotiating parties failed to reach a comprehensive agreement and decided to extend the talks for another seven months (July 1, 2015).
