KARAJ, Jan. 07 (MNA) The head of Alborz provincial Sports and Youth office has said a track of land with an area of 15 hectares would provide space for polo and equestrian sports.
Reza Golmohammadi told Mehr News local correspondent that the Sports and Youth office had plans to promote these highly refreshing equine sports; with the abundance of equestrian talents in the province, we have put in agenda some measures to promote the sports; polo and equestrian improve the physic and the mental abilities of the players, he added. In close collaboration with the private sector, a track of land with an area of 15 hectares would host the facilities and installations in the near future, Golmohammadi said.
In a joint meeting with the provinces veterinary officials, we addressed the conditions to facilitate and extend veterinary hospital services for equestrian and polo athletes; Alborz province hosts some well-equipped equestrian centers regularly holding training classes for the interested public, he said, adding that the Islamic teachings had recommended learning of equestrian for all, which would help popularize the sport.
