A number of Iranian animations and films have been showcased at the second edition of the countrys film festival in the French capital, Paris.
Some 11 animations produced by Irans Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) were displayed at the event.
Two cinematic creations also represented Iranian cinema industry at the festival that was held from June 6 through 16, 2014.
Iranian social drama Hatred directed by Reza Dormishian was one of the movies screened at the event and received much acclaim by the audience.
Maryam Khalilzadehs White Pigeon by the Mirror, Nazanin Sobhan Sarbandis Kind Moon and Ali Reza Chitaeis Successful and Admirable Life Story of the Red Pencil were screened at the animation section of the festival.
Hadi Yaqinlous Why Doesnt This Telephone Ever Ring?, Moin Samadis The Night Song and The Kitten directed by Shiva Sadeq Asadi were also among the animations lineup.
The animations participated in a number of Iranian and international events and took awards.
The art of animation as practiced in modern day Iran started in the 1950s. Over the last few decades Iranian animation has found international reputation.
