Tehran, Feb 20, IRNA Special representative of Germany for Afghanistan and Pakistan Michael Koch said his country is willing to widen cooperation with Iran in both regional and bilateral issues.
Koch, the former German ambassador to Pakistan, told IRNA that both Tehran and Berlin attach importance to Afghanistan issues including refugees.
Germany and Iran, he said, are interested in witnessing improvement in the situation in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan?s stabilization would benefit the entire region, said the German diplomat.
He further appreciated the Iranian government for hosting millions of Afghan refugees in recent decades.
The German diplomat further underlined the need for return of Afghan refugees to their home land.
He expressed his happiness over Tehran-Berlin bilateral cooperation on Afghanistan.
