TEHRAN (FNA)- The number of Al-Qaeda-linked foreign militants killed in Syria since the onset of the Syrian crisis in early 2011 has exceeded 9,900, a Salafi movement announced.A sum of 9,936 nationals from Arab and Muslim countries have been killed since March 2011, the Jihadist Salafist Movement in Jordan said.
1902 of the dead militants came form Tunisia, 1807 from Libya, 1432 from Iraq, 800 from Palestine and 202 from Jordan, according to the survey.
The movement noted that 828 of the slain militants were from Lebanon, while 821 were from Egypt.
Also in the last 24 hours, the Syrian army targeted and destroyed the headquarters of the armed rebels consultative assembly in Idlib countryside in Northwestern Syria.
The army units destroyed the main building of the militants consultative assembly in Maareh Al-Nauman in Idlib countryside.
A ringleader of the militants named Ali Khalouf nicknamed Abu Al-Kheir who was a member of the militants consultative assembly was also killed heavy clashes.
Elsewhere, the Syrian army destroyed a bomb-laden vehicle in Southeastern Idlib. The vehicle was heading towards a military checkpoint in the area.
Also, the national popular committees of the Syrian Kurds pushed back the militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the Al-Nusra Front from Tal Khanzir village in Ras Al-Ain countryside.
Meantime, the Syrian army made major advances in Damascus countryside and regained control of several strategic regions in the area.
The army units took back Al-Mazraa, Jazeera 4 and Jazeera 9 districts in Adra Al-Amalieh town in Damascus countryside.
The Syrian army conducts regular military operations in different districts of Adra Al-Amalieh in a bid to put an end to the militants dominance over these areas and pave the way for the freedom of the residents who are held captive by the militants.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs and terrorists against both the army and civilians.
Tens of thousands of people have been killed since terrorist and armed groups turned protest rallies into armed clashes.
The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
