Eyre: Nuclear talks witnessing good progress

Geneva, Nov 23, IRNA The US Persian Language spokesman of the State Department Alan Eyre said the ongoing nuclear talks between Iran and the Group 5+1 have had a good progress.
He added that the talks are still led by the EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton.

Eyre made the remarks commenting on reports about possible presence of the US Secretary of State John Kerry in the talks.

Speaking to IRNA exclusively, he said, Talks are underway to close stances of the two sides and we hope that more progresses would be made in coming hours.

Eyre said that the US secretary of state is on his way to Geneva and will arrive in the Swiss city Saturday morning to join his counterparts from other G5+1 member states in case of reaching any final agreement between the two sides.

Nothing has become finalized yet and the two sides are still negotiating, Eyre added.

Foreign ministers of Russia, Britain, France and China have officially voiced readiness to attend the current round of talks which began on November 20.

According to IRNA, German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle is also to attend the talks.
