Gamma Knife Center inaugurated in Tehran
A Gamma Knife Center was opened on Sunday in Yas Hospital in Tehran.

The center was inaugurated in the presence of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Chief Mohammad Eslami, Health Minister Bahram Einollahi, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences President Alireza Zali, and some senior managers of the nuclear industry, ISNA reported.

The Gamma Knife is an advanced radiation treatment for adults and children with small to medium brain tumors, abnormal blood vessel formations called arteriovenous malformations, epilepsy, trigeminal neuralgia, a nerve condition that causes chronic pain, and other neurological conditions.

Despite the sanctions, Iranian experts and scientists have succeeded in expanding knowledge-based and advanced medical equipment, radiopharmaceuticals, and medicine.
