South Pars phase 14 gas production at 28 mcm/d
Shana - Iran is currently recovering 28 million cubic meters per day of natural gas from phase 14 development of the supergiant South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf, an official says.

According tothe CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), Mohammad Meshkinfam, installation of Platform C of the phase is complete and production of sour gas from its offshore reserve has begun from the platform.

He said production of 3 billion cubic feet per day was envisaged from phases 13, 14 and 22-24, adding a billion cubic feet per day of sour gas was being produced from two offshore platforms at Phase 14 currently.

The official further added that two platforms belonging to phase 13 were loaded from the yard of SADRA Company, adding drilling operations for the two platforms were almost finished.

He stated that a platform was installed at Phase 22 and another platform of the project would be installed within a month to bring production from the phase to 500 mcm/d.

Drilling operations in phase 24 have also come to an end and the production platform of the phase was being prepared for loading at the yard of SADRA Company.

Currently, Iran is producing a total of 580 mcm/d of sour gas from different phases of the joint South Pars gas field in Persian Gulf waters. Irans production capacity from the field stands at 600 mcm/d.
