president.ir- The Office of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran made an announcement in a reaction to untrue words about President's speech at the meeting of the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and his deputies, stressing that attributing the sentence that "Even Imam Mahdi (PBUH) can be criticised" to President is an absolute lie.
The text of the announcement by President's office, which was made on Monday, is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Following some propaganda regarding the President's speech at the meeting of the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and his deputies dated 8 January, 2018, it is announced that: remarks such as "the Infallibles' (AS) can be criticised", as a result of purposeful fragmentation and falsification of President's remarks which have been originally expressed by a political figure and unfortunately laid the ground for a group of media, individuals and some seminary-related institutions' judgment and positioning, are complete lie, and the sentence of "Even Imam Mahdi (PBUH) can be criticised" was neither in his remarks, nor can be inferred from them. Obviously, believing in the prophets and the Infallibles' (AS) infallibility is an undeniable certainty in Shia.
In a part of his remarks at the meeting, the full text and video of which is accessible on the Official Website of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hojatoleslam Val-Moslemin Dr Hassan Rouhani clearly speaks about the essentiality of tolerating criticism in governance and gives the example to emphasise that even during the ruling time of the Infallibles (AS), they let people to express their opinions and criticisms. This fact illustrates the Infallibles' tolerance and generosity in their ruling system and accepting people's criticism and opinions about their way of governance, not themselves. In addition to evidence in history, jurisprudence and hadith, these sentences do not mean that the Infallibles (AS) can be criticised and cannot be inferred this way.
It is expected from political figures and those who possess a podium, especially the respected ulama and scholars in seminaries to refer to the original sentences of the President, which are easily accessible through the official website of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran President.ir-, before they start to judge and criticise based on falsified words by some political figures in the media, some of which are purposeful, as the great Prophet of Islam (PBUH) said: "I have been sent to perfect the best of conduct".
