Singapore hosts 1st Iran Investment Summit

October 17, The Iran Project First meeting of the foreign investment in Iran will be held in Singapore to identify and recommend the investment opportunities in the Islamic Republic, especially in the oil and gas, tourism and infrastructure sectors.


MillionaireAsia Pte Ltd, the organizer of the meeting announced on Monday that Valiollah Seif, the governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), Javad Ansari, Irans Ambassador to Singapore, and some other senior officials will take part in the 5-day summitwhich will held in October 26, 2016.

The removal of international sanctionsonIran and creating unprecedented opportunities in post-JCPOA erafor investors are among the factors that led to the holding of the economic summit in Singapore.

The meeting organizers believe that Irans economy has strong infrastructure and it is expected that the average of Irans economic growth will annually be between 4 to 6 percent in the next five years.

In February 2016, Singapore signed a Bilateral Investment Treaty with Iran and the countrys Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Act (FIPPA) provides a legal framework for investment protection by foreign investors keen to invest in Iran.

As a privileged and unique entry into untapped business opportunities in the region, the first meeting of the foreign investment in Iran will feature a number of bankable projects. Apart from Singapore, investors from Hong Kong, Malaysia and Indonesia are also expected at the event.
