Russia and Iran reaffirmed on Monday their readiness to cooperate with the Syrian government and humanitarian organizations in providing urgent relief to civilian population in war-torn Syria, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"The sides reaffirmed the readiness byMoscow and Tehran toactively cooperate inthis area withthe Syrian government, the Syrian Red Crescent, and the relevant UN bodies," the ministry said ina statement.
