Russia and Iran reaffirmed on Monday their readiness to cooperate with the Syrian government and humanitarian organizations in providing urgent relief to civilian population in war-torn Syria, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
MOSCOW (Sputnik)�� According to�the ministry, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed in�phone talks with�Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari the situation in�Syria with�the focus on�urgent humanitarian assistance to�the Syrian population, especially in�besieged city of�Aleppo.

"The sides reaffirmed the readiness by�Moscow and Tehran to�actively cooperate in�this area with�the Syrian government, the Syrian Red Crescent, and the relevant UN bodies," the ministry said in�a statement.
