Ankara, Aug 12, IRNA - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif wrapped up his one day official visit to Turkey Friday evening and is on his way home from Ankara to Tehran.
Iran's top diplomat arrived in Turkey on Friday morning for a one-day visit to the Islamic Republic's neighboring country.
During his stay in Turkey, Zarif met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as well as his counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu.
Zarif is the first Iranian high-ranking official to visit Turkey after the failed July 15 coup.
Iran was the first country to condemn the coup and opted to side with the Turkish government and nation.
