TEHRAN (Tasnim) Diplomats from Iran and the US held a meeting in the Norwegian capital of Oslo on Wednesday to discuss the implementation process of the JCPOA, a lasting nuclear deal between Tehran and six world powers.
Seyed Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht Ravanchi , the Iranian foreign ministers deputies, and Stephen D. Mull, the lead coordinator for the implementation of Iran nuclear deal at the US State Department, held the meeting at a hotel in Oslo.
It followed a high-profile gathering between Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and US Secretary of State John Kerry earlier in the morning.
Tehran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 14, 2015, reached a conclusion over the text of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
The accord took effect in January and was supposed to terminate all nuclear-related sanctions against Iran all at once, but its implementation has been hampered mainly due to US policies.
