Iranian President’s actions in funeral of Hugo Chavez cause serious debate

Baku. Konul Jafarli – APA. The actions of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attending the funeral of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on March 8 caused serious debates.

APA reports that high-ranking officials in Iran, especially Ahmadinejad avoid physical contact with women in public. However, Iranian President took Hugo Chavez’s mother Elena Frias’ hand while sharing her pain. She put her head on Ahmadinejad’s shoulder. Following this, Iranian President cried with Frias.

However, Ahmadinejad was the most acclaimed guests at the funeral. While announced continuously acclaimed Iranian President kissed the coffin of Chavez and took leave. Even while sitting, Ahmadinejad was acclaimed and he cried. The President pumped his fist in the air and welcomed the participants. Furthermore, he showed a sign of victory to the Venezuelan citizens greeting him outside.
