TEHRAN, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- The joint special representative of theUnited Nationsand theArab League(AL) toSyriaLakhdar Brahimi arrived in theIranian capital of Tehran on Sunday, Press TV reported.
During a one-day trip to Tehran, Brahimi will hold talks with a number of Iranian high-ranking officials, including Saeed Jalili, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, on the Syrian crisis.
He visited Saudi Arabia and Turkey recently and is expected to talk withIraqi officials.
Last month, Iran's Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi expressed Tehran's readiness to assist Brahimi in his mission to restore peace in Syria.
