According to The Iran Project,Earth Hour is a global event organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), with countries around the world turn off light of famous structures and buildings for an hour.

Every year, millions of people turn off the lights between 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm on the last Saturday of March, in a tradition known as 'Earth Hour' with the aim of raising awareness about climate change and energy conservation.

Turning off the lights is symbolic in nature that started in 2007 by WWF but draws the attention of the people and political authorities toward the environment and push them to show their commitment to our planet.
