TEHRAN, Jan. 1 (MNA) � Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs has said Tehran�s ties with Persian Gulf states are �progressive.�
In an interview to Mehr News, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian�detailed about the�Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)�foreign ministerial meeting�held in African country of Guinea. �Tehran and Riyadh develop close cooperation and positions about the issues of Islamic world, which was interesting in the recent meeting in Guinea,� he said, �the constructive positions of both sides are in path to consolidation of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the Persian Gulf.�

�Zarif�s recent visit to Persian Gulf countries indicated the Islamic Republic of Iran�s good faith in bilateral and regional cooperation,� he added. Asked about the recent developments in Iraq, deputy-FM said that Iraq�s Army effective measures to counter terrorism would help restore security to Iraq and the region at large. �Iraq will be no good place for terrorism,� Abdollahian added, �we believed that Iraqi officials would welcome decisive fighting with terrorism and restoring security to country. Iraq would find the path for progress through national unity and political prudence practiced by its leaders,� he asserted.
