Iran’s industry min. pledges to reduce import tariffs on electric & hybrid cars
According to The Iran Project, regarding import tariffs on hybrid and electric cars, Abbas Aliabadi reiterated, “Electric cars have a slight price difference compared to gasoline cars, and we are trying to bring the prices closer by compensating the tariffs.”

To encourage people to use these cars, to preserve the environment, and to save fuel, incentives should be predicted, he said.

One of these incentives is reducing the tariffs, and it has been considered in the regulations proposed to the government, the minister added.

Aliabadi went on to note that it means that we have considered its tariff ats a very low price.

If this issue is ratified, it will be a great help to balance the price and manage the market robustly, the industry minister concluded.

Earlier, Aliabadi had announced the delivery of 88 all-electric cars to the country’s Taxi Organization.

One of the most important advantages of electric cars is the variety of fuel use and also the use of green energies, along with the advantage of reducing fuel and energy consumption, he underlined.
