Iran's Refah company has negotiated with a number of European and Asian companies to launch chain stores in the country, deputy head of Chain Stores Guild Union Farshid Gol Zadeh said Tuesday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) According to IRNA new agency, Zadeh expressed the hope forparticipation offoreign companies inthe development ofretail industry inIran.
He noted that Refah Chain Stores Company had 220 branches inIran. Last year, 10 branches have been modernized, while forty branches were expected tobe upgraded this year.
Iran began stepping upinternational trade and investment cooperation afterreaching a historic deal onits nuclear program toensure its peaceful nature inexchange forthe suspension ofinternational anti-Iran sanctions, inparticular onits oil sector, inJuly 2015.
In mid-January, the sanctions were removed afterthe International Atomic Energy Agency verified Tehrans compliance withthe nuclear agreement.
