Iranian Petroleum Minister said that gas contracts between Iran and Iraq have been put on hold due to the difficulties in Iraqi system.

VIENNA (Sputnik) � The gas contracts between�Iran and Iraq have been put on�hold due to�the difficulties in�Iraqi system, Iranian Petroleum Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh said Thursday.

"We have two gas contracts with�Iraq and we are ready to�export gas to�Baghdad but�they have some difficulty. It depends on�Iraqi system," Zangeneh said.

Earlier in�May, National Iranian Gas Company Director for�Planning Mohammad Reza Qodsizadeh said exporting gas to�Iraq was the country's top priority.
